Icons Depeche Mode have announced that their still untitled 12th album will be released in April of 2009.
No details are known about the album, but there's much speculation and rumored controversy already. The band's last album, Playing The Angel, was the first to feature songwriting by frontman Dave Gahan (the lyrics having mostly been the territory of Martin Gore). This is causing rumors to fly as to whether or not the next album will also showcase Gahan's lyrical assistance.
