Infacted to Release Entire X Marks the Pedwalk Catalogue

Infacted Recording's new Digital Division will be releasing the entire X Marks the Pedwalk backcatalogue throughout December and January. The release will contain all singles, EPs, and albums, and will be available through stores like Amazon, Napster, iTunes, and more.

On a related note, there are rumors that X-Mark's Sevren is doing music again. What this might mean for X-Marks is still unknown

Pigface Listening Party on Sunday December 21

Due to the popularity of the last listening party, Pigface is holding another on Sunday, December 21. This time around will see an appearance by Martin and not yet named special guests from the new album.

Depeche Mode Finish Work on New Album

Depeche Mode has finally finished work on their new album, the first since 2005's Playing the Angel and due out in April. There had been some controversy and speculation regarding Dave Gahan's lyrical contributions (specifically, whether he would pen songs himself, as he did on PtA, which had always been Martin Gore's territory). It seem now that some songs have been co-written by Gahan, although what that means exactly is unclear.

Sources say the album will feature less guitars and mark a return to the band's more synth-heavy pre-Songs of Faith and Devotion era.

Kirlian Camera Album Postponed

The mini album Shadow Mission: Held V by cult icons Kirlian Camera will be postponed until January due to technical problems while mastering.

The album will feature both completely new material as well as a new version of Heldenplatz and a cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortable Numb. Shadow Mission will be available as a CD as well as an ultra-limited collector's vinyl.

New And One Single on the 19th

Out on December 19th is the new And One single, Paddy Is My DJ. The 7" single will be on the familiar orange vinyl and is limited to 500 copies. The b-side is a live version of Timekiller.

It's been stated that this single will not be part of Bodypop 1&1/2, but the album may be around the corner.

Terence Fixmer Announces New Album

Terence Fixmer, infamous techno maestro and one half of Fixmer/McCarthy (with Nitzer Ebb's Douglas McCarthy) has announced a new album slated for a February/March release. No word yet on a title or exact release date.

Gothic Compilation 42 Released Today

Released today is Gothic Compilation 42, a two disc compilation features a wide roster of artists. Don't let the name fool you, this compilation isn't sporting only gothic releases (sadly, various genres get lumped in together with reckless abandon). The first disc is supposed to contain only gothic artists, but one looked shows Zombina and the Skeletones, a well known horror punk act. Cesium 137 Announce Forthcoming Album with Help

Cesium 137 are working on a new album, tentatively titled Identity. The album will feature vocal production from Tom Shear (Assemblage 23), Ted Phelps (Imperative Reaction), and David Dutton (genCAB, who released the debut album II transMuter earlier this year).

No word yet on a release date.

Leæther Strip Announces Live Shows and Christmas Present

Leæther Strip's Claus Larsen has published a blog post that stating that live shows are in the future, but health issues will limit him to 5-10 performances. There are no dates yet (concrete or speculated).

:Wumpscut: has announced a new remix contest for the forthcoming album, Fuckit. The winning remixes will be featured on the next :Wumpscut: box set, the Fuckitbox. Rudy may add vocals, as well as do the final mastering. The deadline is December 31, so get a move on.

30 Years of Survival Research Laboratories

Survival Research Laboratories, an industrial-robot-terror performance group, was created by Mark Pauline in 1978. The shows feature homemade machines interacting with other machines, in a spectacle that's always loud, scary, and out of control. The shows have been dubbed the most dangerous on earth, and no one has argued. Unfortunately, many SRL performances include eventual police and governmental "intervention".

SRL has even been featured on the History channel for their recreations of Nazi weapons (vortex guns and sound weapons).

This year, SRL celebrates its 30th anniversary. To celebrate, They Fell is featuring only SRL videos this week. Enjoy!

Yasmine Uhlin Leaves Ashbury Heights

Yasmine Uhlin, one half of the popular synthpop due Ashbury Heights, has announced that she has quit the band. In a blog post she wrote:

"There are no grudges to be held and the air within Ashbury Heights is free from any pollution. You see, this is something I have to do. I need to let go in order to build something of my own. I've been fighting myself in this matter for a long time but I can't change what I truly feel."

Yasmine will continue with her solo act Javelynn Fate, and will be replaced by Kari Berg.

M'era Luna Lineup Announced

The lineup for next year's M'era Luna Festival has been announced. The 2009 event will feature performances by Tyske Ludder, Grendel, Untoten, Subway to Sally, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Zeraphine, Schelmisch, and Veljanov.

The event, being held in Hildesheim, Germany, will take place on August 9th.

L'Ame Immortelle Live DVD/CD Set

On December 5th L'Ame Immortelle is releasing the live DVD/CD set, Jenseits der Schatten. The 6-panel digipak with a booklet of live photos was recorded on the Namenlos tour. The DVD will also feature outtakes from the tour, including footage of the band backstage.

On November 20th, German electro-goth rockers Seelenzorn will release their third free digital EP, Keine Angst. The EP will feature five songs, three of which are new, and a video.

Big Throbbing Gristle News and the Return of Industrial Records

It's been 30 years since the release of The Second Annual Report, Throbbing Gristle's first album, which is considered by most to be the first ever industrial album. To commemorate this, TG is releasing a special limited edition of the album called The Thirty-Second Annual Report.

The album is limited to 777 copies, exactly the same as the original, and can be pre-ordered now. Here's what you'll get:

"12" 180gm vinyl LP comprises a recording of Throbbing Gristle's live demonstration at La Villette in Paris on 6th June 2008 at which they performed a reinterpretation of their original album. New Broken Fabiola Album in November

After a three year hiatus, Broken Fabiola are back, set to release the brand new album, Severed. Out through Tympanik Audio on November 25, the album will feature collaboration from guest artists such as Shane Talada (Marching Dynamics, The Operative), Daniel Myer (Architect, Haujobb), Scott Sturgis (Converter) and Dre Robinson (Databomb, Download).

New Blutengel Single in November

Also releasing on November 14 is a new Blutengel single, Dancing in the light. The single follows closely on the heels of their last single, Winter of My Life, and will be released in two limited versions. One version will contain the title track plus two exclusive bonus songs and one remix each and a video.

Star Industry to Release Black Angel White Devil

On November 14, Belgian gothic rock outfit Star Industry will release a live album, Black Angel White Devil. Following their third album, 2007's Last Crusades, the live album memorializes their Madrid performance, and includes both old and newer hits.

In Alfa Matrix fashion, there will be several release types. There is, of course, the standard single disc album. The box set includes the standard disc as well as a bonus disc containing the remastered debut album, Iron Dust Crush 2008. The limited edition release has an extra disc of remixes and a videos. The top tier is the Super Fan Box Set, which contains the standard disc, the remix/video disc, t-shirt, and some "bonus goodies".

New Depeche Mode Album in April '09

Icons Depeche Mode have announced that their still untitled 12th album will be released in April of 2009.

No details are known about the album, but there's much speculation and rumored controversy already. The band's last album, Playing The Angel, was the first to feature songwriting by frontman Dave Gahan (the lyrics having mostly been the territory of Martin Gore). This is causing rumors to fly as to whether or not the next album will also showcase Gahan's lyrical assistance.

Die Form to Release 'Best Of' Box Set

A month ago French electro legends Die Form signed to Out of Line Music, and just last week released the new single Her(t)z Frequenz. Now, to celebrate three decades of ground-breaking music, the act is set to release Best of XXX. From Out of Line:

"All of the timeless tracks have been completely reworked, rearranging and re-recording all the machines and original elements (sequencers, drum machines, analog- & digital synthesizers, samplers, tapes and effects) and Éliane’s vocals, using current state-of-the-art technology"

The release is a limited double CD deluxe edition with special leather-look packaging, and will contain a bonus disc with rare and unreleased tracks, as well as a spcial booklet showcasing Philippe Fichot's photography.

Alfa Matrix Celebrates 7th Anniversary with Re:connected [3.0]

2008 marks the 7th anniversary of the popular label Alfa Matrix. To celebrate, the label is releasing a deluxe box set, Re:connected [3.0], containing a double CD and DVD.. The compilation features exclusive and previously unreleased from all artists under the label, while the DVD boasts an impressive 19 videos. From the label:

Krystal System Debut with Underground

Newcomers Krystal System will present the world their debut album on November 19. The French duo will offer the album, Underground, as a standard CD as well as a 2-disc set with nine additional tracks featuring remixes by Implant, Leaether Strip, and more. From the label:

"...an extremely diversified panel of heavy electronics, catchy filtered female vocals, dynamic guitar riffs, melodic synth sequences with an overall indie rock feel. Expect an eclectic combination of music genres ranging from dark elektro, cold wave, industrial rock and metal."

Submissions Needed for Next Endzeit Bunkertracks Compilation

It's that time again. Alfa Matrix is readying another edition of ther popular Endzeit Bunkertracks compilations. This will be the fourth 4-disc set, and the deadline for submissions is November 10. Keep in mind that this is a first come-first served basis, so get your ass in gear. From Alfa Matrix:

"In the past this compilation series has gathered all the biggest names on the dark elektro genre and also opened (label) doors to many promising newcomers. In other words, if you are in a rather new band, this might be your ticket in... !"

Auto Auto to Release Celeste

Swedish synthpop due Auto Auto are releasing their latest album, Celeste, on October 24th. This will be the act's second full length album, the follow-up to the debut Sounds of a New Generator. From Out of Line:

"Where others refrain from breaching certain barriers, Johan Hellqvist and Erik Frankel are plunging in head-first and are not afraid of incorporating rapped passages, analog minimalism and heart-warmingly nonsensical samples into their sound."

Free Track from Nachtmahr

Nachtmahr, the EBM project of Thomas Rainer (L’ame Immortelle), is offering a free downloadable track exclusively on vampirefreaks.com. The song is taken from the Katharsis EP, which is set to release on the 19th.

Die Form: New Label and Releases

French electro legends, Die Form, newly signed to Out Of Line Music, will release their first single with the label soon. Titled Her(t)z Frequenz, the label had this to say about the forthcoming release:

"A driving beat builds the foundation for an energetic interplay between Fichots cold, electronically manipulated vocals and Eliane P.’s mesmerising, fairy-like melodies. The title track is a cunning combination of the catchiest grooves ever to be found on a Die-Form-release and the hypnotic interaction between coldness and emotions that has always been the unique trademark of this project."

The singles b-side, Bite of God, is a re-worked favorite which will boast different beats and more dominant female vocals. Also included are remixes and alternate versions.

This single is meant to precede the upcoming best-of, with newly recorded versions.

New Cephalgy Album In October

On October 10th, German electro-goths Cephalgy will release their latest album, Herzschlag. Thie limited edition album will contain a bonus disc with four bonus tracks and four remixes.

This will be the act's first full-length album since 2005's Finde Deinen Dämon.

New Zone Nine EP

On Spetember 29th, Zone Nine will release the new EP, Planet: G581d, as a free download. There's no tracklist as of yet.

Zone Nine is the solo project of David Phelan (The Blue Room, Corinthian Flux). On the official ZN myspace, you can download several tracks for free right now.

Gothminister: New Label and Album

Gothminister has signed with a new label, Drakkar/SonyBMG, and announced a new album due out on November 14th. The band has also promised a preview medley, coming soon.

This will be the band's first album since 2005's Empire of Dark Salvation.

Out of Line Festival in November

November will see another Out of Line Festival, and the lineup was just announced.

Die Form, newly signed to the label, will head the festival. Joining the French electro legends are Agonoize, Amduscia, and Ashbury Heights. And opening the show are Swedish newcomers Auto-Auto.
